Guardhouse Hotel

Hotel Corps de Garde is located in the center of Groningen. The monumental building, dating back to 1634, has served as a hotel since 1991 and was fully renovated and modernized in the summer of 2021. Hotel Corps de Garde offers 19 rooms. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and a freshly prepared lunch at Brasserie Corps. After an afternoon exploring Groningen, you're welcome to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. A section of the old city wall in the basement is perfectly preserved, making it the perfect space for meetings, tastings, or drinks with friends and family. As soon as you enter Oude Boteringestraat in Groningen, you'll experience the city's rich history. Here you'll admire the oldest and best-preserved parts of the historic city. This street tells stories from the past, including the story of Professor Tjalling Joostes Halbertsma. It was Professor Halbertsma who fell in love with a characteristic building whose facade is decorated with wooden spandrels and floral motifs.
