Our team is on duty every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Whether you have questions, need an extra towel, or just want some good advice about the city, you know where to find us. At night, you can contact our colleagues at Hotel Halbert. We’re always available at +31 50 314 5437.

On the day of departure, you can enjoy your room until 12:00 p.m. Want to sleep in a little longer? Late check-out is available for an additional fee, subject to availability. Let our team know, and they’ll see if it’s possible.

Are you coming by car? You can easily park your car at the Ossenmarkt Parking Garage, just 100 meters from the hotel. Make a reservation online here at our discounted rate (€18 instead of €26).

    On weekdays, we serve breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. On weekends, we take a little more time: on Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

    At Het Wachthuis, it’s all about good, honest, and flavorful food. Our kitchen serves dishes that reflect the season: fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of character. Enjoy lunch between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

  • Hotel Corps de Garde does not have its own parking spaces. The Ossenmarkt parking garage is located just 100 meters from the hotel and offers discounted rates for online reservations (€18 instead of €26). Reserve your daily parking pass here.

    The Boterdiep parking garage, located 450 meters away, is also a good option, with a rate of €15 for 24 hours.

    Are you coming by bike? You can park it safely in the hotel courtyard.

  • Yes, printing is available. Please contact the front desk, and we'll be happy to assist you.

  • Yes, a shoe-polishing kit is available upon request. A shoehorn is also available. Please ask for one at the front desk.

  • Yes, a sewing kit is available upon request. The front desk will have one brought to you.

    The Martini Tower

    Lightning, fire, and collapse: the Martini Tower has survived it all. At 97 meters, d’Olle Grieze is still the city’s tallest building. The view from the top is fantastic. Back down again? Then pop into the beautiful Martini Church. You can pick up an admission token for the tower at the tourist office in the Forum.

    Near the hotel lies the Hoge en Lage der A, one of the most charming spots in Groningen. Historic facades, water flowing peacefully by, and just that touch of character that makes the city center so special. It’s a short walk, but one that takes you on a journey through the city’s history.

Inside, you’ll find the tourist information office, Storyworld, movie theaters, the Smartlab, restaurants and cafes, the city library, and Groningen’s highest rooftop terrace.

  • Folkingestraat

    Within walking distance of the hotel, you'll find Folkingestraat, perhaps the most colorful street in Groningen. Small shops, each with its own unique atmosphere.

  • The Fish Market

    Market vendors call out their sales pitches, while cyclists weave their way through the pedestrians. Locals buy their lunch at the old Korenbeurs or dig into their kibbeling with a fork. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the square is filled with stalls from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering fish, meat, bread, vegetables, fruit, and much more.
