Our team is on duty every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Whether you have questions, need an extra towel, or just want some good advice about the city, you know where to find us. At night, you can contact our colleagues at Hotel Halbert. We’re always available at +31 50 314 5437.

On the day of departure, you can enjoy your room until 12:00 p.m. Want to sleep in a little longer? Late check-out is available for an additional fee, subject to availability. Let our team know, and they’ll see if it’s possible.

Are you coming by car? You can easily park your car at the Ossenmarkt Parking Garage, just 100 meters from the hotel. Make a reservation online here at our discounted rate (€18 instead of €26).

We’ve made sure your room is fully equipped with all the amenities you need. Is there anything else you need? No problem—we’re happy to help. Would you prefer to sleep with an extra pillow or blanket? Would you like extra clean linens during your stay? Or are you traveling with a small child and need a crib? Just let us know, and we’ll make sure everything is ready so you can relax. Bathrobes, slippers, and additional toiletries, bathroom, and hygiene products are also available upon request.

Prefer not to leave the hotel? Our room service will gladly deliver your breakfast, drinks, lunch, and snacks right to your room. You can order every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • Hotel Corps de Garde does not have its own parking spaces. The Ossenmarkt parking garage is located just 100 meters from the hotel and offers discounted rates for online reservations (€18 instead of €26). Reserve your daily parking pass here.

    The Boterdiep parking garage, located 450 meters away, is also a good option, with a rate of €15 for 24 hours.

    Are you coming by bike? You can park it safely in the hotel courtyard.

  • Yes, a shoe-polishing kit is available upon request. A shoehorn is also available. Please ask for one at the front desk.

  • The hotel offers three types of rooms: a Standard Room (18 m²) with authentic exposed beams, a Comfort Room (25 m²) with a view of the streets of Groningen, and a Deluxe Room with a Bathtub (35 m²) featuring a bathtub, a walk-in shower, and a view of the canals.

  • Yes, at Het Wachthuis, the hotel’s restaurant, you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast every morning. Het Wachthuis is also the place to go for lunch, drinks, or a casual bite to eat throughout the day.

  • Inside the building, you’ll find Het Wachthuis for breakfast, lunch, or drinks, and Souterrain 1634, an intimate vegetarian restaurant located in the hotel’s historic basement. Additionally, Restaurant Blumé, Garde Hotels’ fine-dining restaurant, is within walking distance.

Please inquire about availability when making your reservation.

  • The best way to explore Groningen is at your own pace, and you’re off to a great start because you’re right in the heart of the city. Here are our tips:

    Climb the 97 steps of the Martini Tower for a breathtaking view of the city, or simply admire “’d Olle Grieze” from the Grote Markt. Afterward, pop into the beautiful Martini Church. You can pick up an admission token for the tower at the tourist information office in the Forum, where you’ll also find Groningen’s highest rooftop terrace.

    On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the Vismarkt is bustling with market stalls. It’s the perfect spot for a fresh lunch or a bite of kibbeling on the go. Shoppers can explore Zwanestraat, Herestraat, Oosterstraat, or the charming Folkingestraat. For art and culture, the Groninger Museum is a must-see.
