A Relaxing Lunch with a Larger Group

For groups of up to 7 people, you can simply order à la carte. Are there eight or more of you? If so, we’ve put together three set menus that will ensure everyone leaves satisfied.

Choose from: sandwiches with soup, sandwiches with soup and a hot snack, or a lunch buffet with soup, sandwiches, a hot snack, and a salad.

After a long day, Het Wachthuis is the perfect place to unwind. Take a seat, order a nice glass of beer or wine, and let the evening unfold. Of course, no drink is complete without some snacks, and we’ve got plenty of those. You can enjoy drinks until 11:00 PM, so there’s plenty of time for another round.

  • Het Wachthuis is located in the Hotel Corps de Garde at 74 Oude Boteringestraat in Groningen, within walking distance of the Grote Markt.

  • Het Wachthuis is open for breakfast, lunch, and drinks. We are open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • You usually don't need to make a reservation for a cup of coffee or a spontaneous lunch. Are you coming with a group? If so, it would be great if you could let us know in advance that you're coming, so we can be ready to welcome you.

  • Authentic, seasonal food with character. Whether you choose breakfast, lunch, or a snack platter at the end of the day, our kitchen uses whatever the season has to offer.

  • We can accommodate all your allergies and dietary preferences, but please let us know in advance so we can tailor your experience perfectly.

  • Of course. You're also welcome to stop by for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or just a good chat at the bar.
